Should Luis Suarez command as much as Gareth Bale? Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes so.

According to ESPN, the Liverpool manager believes that the £40 million offers for Luis Suarez are not sufficient for his talent level.

"Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez were arguably the two best players in the Premier League last season and you can't say Gareth Bale is valued at more than 100 percent more than Luis Suarez," Rodgers said on Saturday. "Of course, every player will have a value but you only have to look at the market and £40 million and £1 for Suarez. Then Gareth Bale, they are talking about nine figures."

Real Madrid is reportedly offering £100 million for Bale while Suarez has only received offers in the £40 million range. Arsenal offered £30 million for him, but raised that figure by £10 million when the offer was rejected. The third try the English club offered extra £1 for Suarez.

"Of all the speculation and all the clubs he was supposed to be going to, we've had two bids from one club and that was nowhere near the valuation in the market for a top player," added Rodgers. "I was on the phone last night quite a bit with the owners and they know what we are trying to do. We are trying to build a group up and we are in no hurry to sell Luis or any other player. We are very strong in the belief in what we are doing and there will be no-one moving out of here."

Suarez finished the 2012-13 season with 23 goals and 33 games for the seventh place Liverpool, while Bale only slotted home 21in 34 matches for fifth place Tottenham Hotspur.
