Webb Simpson will look to sustain his lead in the second round of the 2013 WGC Bridgestone International on Friday, while notable players Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson will try to move up in the leaderboard.

Simpson, who has been on a drought since winning the 2012 US Open, will open the second round as the leader of the pack after shooting 6-under par 64 in the opening round on Thursday at the Firestone Country Club in Ohio.

Holding a one-shot lead over Henrik Stenson heading into the second round of the tournament, Simpson will tee off from No.1 starting 1:40 PM against Lee Westwood, who is currently tied at the 30th spot in the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, all eyes will also be on Tiger Woods, who will look to overtake Simpson and other notable players in the playing field, which also includes Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy.

Woods, who is looking to win the prestigious invitational tournament for the first time since 2009, will be teeing off from No.1 in the afternoon session. The 14-time major winner will be going up against Hideki Matsuyama at 1:10 PM.

The World No.1, Woods, ended up third in the leaderboard with his four-under-par 66 in the first round. Woods struggled to find his rhythm early, but finished strong with four birdies in his final nine holes.

In an interview, Woods, who has seven WGC titles under his belt, expressed how impressed he is with his performance in day one despite having a slow start and he is hoping that his familiarity with the tournament will help him moving forward.

"I've played terrible coming in here and I've played really well coming in and, for some reason on this golf course, I just see it. Luckily over the years I've taken advantage of it. I have played well and I've scored well, and I've won my share of tournaments here," Woods told reporters.

Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson will also try to find his touch in the second round as he was paired with Justine Rose with both of them teeing together from No.10 starting 9:50 AM, ten minutes after former World No.1 Rory McIlroy, who will be paired with Brandt Snedeker, starts his second-round campaign.
