‪@BlindedByTheMyk: Pitch Perfect 2 Plot: Tom Waits becomes their vocal coach. The songs drive everyone to suicide. Happily ever after?

‪@MoncheleBitches: If someone from the glee cast is not in Pitch Perfect 2 then they just wasted a great opportunity.

"6 boys from Stairs" also suggested a plot idea on his Tumblr page. He writes, "soo all seems well in the aca-world. buuut then a new group shows up on campus and there is this big rivalry and the trebles and bellas start losing members. but then some genius (probably fat amy or besse) figures out they can win if they join forces!. at first it doesn't work at all but then..."

Kendriculous joked about another idea for the plot: "plot twist for pitch perfect 2: [Kendrick's] Beca's in charge of the auditions. she kicks her feet up on the table, leans back and pulls out the same yellow cup she auditioned with and chucks it at every person who comes up to try out and mutters the same three word instruction every time: 'do. the cup.'"

The original film grossed $65 million at the domestic box office and over $100 million worldwide; the film only cost an estimated $17 million. Starring Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow, "Pitch Perfect" tells the story of a college freshman joining an a capella group and developing new friendships and artistry.

The film was revered by critics and holds an 81 percent approval score on aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. The site's critical consensus for the movie says, "Pitch Perfect's plot is formulaic, but the performances are excellent and the musical numbers are toe-tapping as well."
