Troubled actress Amanda Bynes is back in the spotlight for another bizarre antic—starting a small fire in front of someone's home. However, this time the star is being forced to get the mental attention she desperately needs.

The former child star was detained by Ventura County sheriff's deputies on Monday and hospitalized for a mental health evaluation after she set a small fire in the driveway of a home in Southern California, authorities said Tuesday according to Fox News.

The 27-year-old actress is now under a 5150 hold, an involuntary hospitalization for mental analysis that can last for up to 72 hours.

"Amanda Bynes was involved in a disturbance in a residential neighborhood last night in Thousand Oaks in the 200-block of Avenida De Los Arboles. Deputies investigated the incident and determined that she met the criteria of 5150... She was detained and taken for a mental health evaluation," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Since the incident, Bynes, who is usually an avid Tweeter, has not posted any messages on her account.

On Sunday, the former Nickelodeon star was caught allegedly trespassing at a retirement community, in the same town where she set the fire, just outside of Los Angeles. Bynes went to an old-age home to visit a relative, but she was turned away because management at the facility thought she was drunk, reports TMZ.

After workers at the retirement home called a cab for Bynes, the starlet reportedly hopped out of the car because she realized she had no money with her and proceeded to walk back to the old folks' home. When she returned to the retirement community, management reportedly called police and accused her of trespassing.

Bynes has landed huge buzz for displaying erratic behavior all year long, including allegedly throwing a bong out of her high-rise NYC apartment building, wearing messy wigs in court and attacking various celebrities on Twitter by calling them "ugly."
