Things for Deb and Dexter hit rock bottom in the last episode of the serial killer drama "Dexter." As the show's final season progresses, viewers are offered a front seat into Deb's (Jennifer Carpenter) downfall and her incredibly rock relationship with her foster brother Dexter (Michael C. Hall).

The episode, entitled "Scar Tissue," saw the two hit yet another pivotal moment in their relationship after Deb drove off their car into the water to kill them both. However, Deb had a change of heart and ended up saving Dexter...again. Talk about a complicated relationship. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Deb portrayer Jennifer Carpenter hinted at a possible reconciliation between the two siblings.

"I'm not sure the car dropping in the water was like a baptism as much as it was like dunking his head in a toilet," Carpenter said jokingly. "It makes him be real with her and she'd be real with him; it's like they're actually just going to show up in the room together with all of their guts exposed and get real." The actress added, "It's a way to squelch her emotions about him-put the fires out and start doing damage recovery in order to rebuild."

However, Deb isn't the only one Dexter has had a rocky relationship with this season. Dr. Vogel (Charlotte Rampling), who he discovers is behind the code he lives by, has been a new addition to his life. But their budding relationship got a tad more complicated when he discovered that she was taking notes on his relationship with Deb. Is he just another patient for her? While he may not be too keen on doing her bidding in the future, they still will play important roles in each other's lives.

In the upcoming episode, entitled "This Little Piggy," Dexter finds himself relieved that he doesn't have to deal with Deb or Vogel. In a preview for the episode, Vogel is seen interviewing the two after their somewhat chaotic swim and Dexter appears to be apathetic to the whole situation. That all changes when Deb informs him that Vogel has been kidnapped-most likely by the Brain Surgeon. The last clip of the upcoming episode shows Vogel about to be tortured by her kidnapper.

In other "Dexter" news, actress Yvonne Strahovski recently sat down with TVLine and discussed her return to the show as Dexter's ex Hannah. "There's a lot of tension, a lot of high stakes," Strahovski teased. She added that it remains to be seen whether she returns out of her love for him or out of revenge for him putting her in jail. You can catch the complete interview below.
