For the last few weeks, many have questioned whether Lionel Messi and Neymar will be able to co-exist as a striker team at Barcelona. According to Neymar, the two will not only work well together, but they will also dominate.

"I hope it will be a partnership to make history. We have everything for that to happen and it's an honor, a dream come true, to play alongside the best in the world and that is what persuaded me choose Barcelona," Neymar told reporters.

Many pundits have questioned whether two of the most lethal scorers in the world could be able to put their egos aside for the team. However, a number of team officials have stated that both players will strive to make Barcelona the best in the world once against.

"No one is better than Messi. He's the best footballer in the history of the club and for me, he's the best player in the history of the sport. He's the only rooster in the henhouse," said Barcelona president Sandro Rosell before noting that Neymar would be a terrific teammate. "He's a great player and a great person who has a lot of potential. He can be a great team-mate to Iniesta, Alba, Cesc and Xavi.

He noted that Neymar and Messi would have no trouble co-existing. "They are both great people with great hearts and I believe that both of them will do their best to bring the team as much success as it has had in the past," he said.

Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola agreed.

"Barca have always had some of the best players in the world at their disposal, and Neymar and Messi are undoubtedly two of the best at the moment," said Guardiola. "I know Messi very well. He is a fantastic person as well as player. I have met Neymar too and he seems like a good lad and I'm sure they will have no problem playing together."
