Argos-Shimano rider Marcel Kittel has officially become the sprinting star of this year's tour following another sensational victory in Stage 12. Kittel, who already booked three stage victories in the current Tour, went neck-to-neck against former sprint king Mark Cavendish and Green Jersey holder Peter Sagan to take the victory before raucous crowd in Tours.

Stage 13 (Tours to Saint Armand-Montrond)

The 13th stage of the 100th Tour de France will take the riders through the 173 kilometer route from Tours to Saint-Amand-Montrond. It's basically another sprint battle, only that the competition is expected to be much tighter with Kittel, Cavendish, Sagan, and André Greipel all gunning for the victory before the General Classifications contenders start to take over again in the mountains.

Chris Froome will try to preserve his big lead (3:25) over Alejandro Valverde of Spain and Bauke Mollema of the Netherlands. Two-time Tour de France champion Alberto Contador is still in fourth place, but he's expected to break into the top three once the mountainous part of the Tour begin on Saturday.
