Amazon has reduced the price of the seven-inch Kindle Fire HD tablet for both 16GB and 32GB models.

The Kindle Fire HD tablet's original list price was $199 for the 16GB model, but it received a $30 discount for a $169 deal. The $169 offer is valid if customers select Amazon's "With Special Offers" deal, otherwise the price will increase to $184.

The 32GB model of the seven-inch tablet is now $199, down from the original $229. Similar to the 16GB deal, if consumers select the "Without Special Offers" option, then the 32GB model's price increases to $214.

The purchase of the Amazon tablet includes the vendor's "Free Super Saving Shipping." The offer is valid for purchases over $25 and will deliver the tablet between five and eight business days.

The price cut of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablet is valid in the United Kingdom as well. The 16GB model's price was slashed to £139 while the 32GB variant stands at £159.  

The Kindle Fire HD, with its seven-inch display, has 1,280x800 pixel resolution with in-plane switching (IPS). The Amazon tablet's battery life provides up to 11 hours of Wi-Fi and music playback. In terms of wireless connectivity, the Kindle Fire HD is 802.11 a/b/g/n enabled.
