The summer movie season is here. Now that school's out what better thing to do than to grab a bucket of popcorn and hit the movie house. Whether you're going with friends or family, here's a list of the movies to see this summer.

"After Earth"

Starring Will Smith and son Jaden Smith, the movie is a science fiction adventure where the father and son crash lands on Earth a thousand years after all humanity have left for a safer home planet.  Both of them are left stranded with Will badly hurt. Now, his son has to signal for help and take on evolved creatures and aliens before it's too late.

"The Purge"

The film gives a chilling preview of what could actually take place in America if citizens were allowed to kill for 12 hours once a year. In the movie, people either take advantage of the wealthy or go on lockdown to secure their family. The story revolves around Ethan Hawke who supposedly sells security systems but finds his own home under attack and his family in danger.

"The Girl Most Likely"

This comedy film will have most girls relating to actress Kristen Wiig. To get the attention of a boy she desperately likes, Kristen pretends to commit suicide. Too bad for her, her suicide-plan fails and instead sends her back to her mother's house. So, will she finally find the love of her life? Find out.

"The Wolverine"

Yes, Hugh Jackman is back! The movie is set in Japan where Logan takes on the Yakuza, Viper, Silver Samurai, and other Japanese characters from the criminal underworld. The film offers exciting fight scenes and a lot of action.

"2 Guns"

Starring Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, the movie is about two undercover agents at a narcotics syndicate. While they both work undercover they are unaware of the other's identity, by the time they discover they are both federal agents, both are forced to be on the run for their lives.
