Eminem's much anticipated new album, scheduled to drop sometime this year, may take a drastic turn from the superstar rapper's signature vicious and relentless lyrics due to claims that he is now a born again Christian.

Earlier this year, MediaTakeOut and Gossip Cop reported that the 40-year-old rap idol has found God, notes Kpopstarz.com. The Christian Post also wrote that Eminem has "turned his life over to Christ" and is "building a relationship with God and using that to help him spiritually, and with his addiction problems."

In addition, rap group Goodie Mob furthered stirred rumors that Slim Shady has found God and is following the beliefs of Christianity. Earlier this month, it was reported that that Goodie Mob invited the "Not Afraid" singer to rap on a track featuring R&B sensation Cee Lo Green, called "White Power." Although Goodie Mob was convinced that Em would want to record a verse on the song, he passed up the opporunity because, as Cee Lo Green believes, of his new found born-again status as a Christian.

Time will only tell if the "8 Mile" actor has indeed turned over a new leaf that will be visible in his artwork. However, it has been confirmed that the veteran hip hop artist hit the studio with fellow Detroit rapper Big Sean. The 24-year-old rapper told MTV that not only did he have the opportunity to record music with his idol, which he referenced as a "Detroit classic," but he also spoke to the living legend for hours.

"We talked for a few hours before we even worked on music. I was telling him my stories about how we were performing all around downtown Detroit and [it turned out that] he was performing in the same places," said Sean.

The song will either appear on Em's eighth studio album or Sean's sophomore album.
