According to AdDuplex, the top Windows Phone smartphone in India is the Nokia Lumia 520, for the second consecutive month. The Windows Phone 8 smartphone's lead is both surprising yet unexpected. The surprise element come as the device only launched in India roughly two months ago, while the unexpected aspect is its strong demand led to an increase for the month of June.

The June percentage for the Lumia 520 is 20.8 percent, up from 16.9 percent for May.

Losing a bit of ground is the Lumia 620, dropping from May's 15.4 percent to June's 14.5 percent.

Maintaining its third place position is the Lumia 710. In fact, the Lumia 710 increased from the previous month with 12.5 percent to 13.9 percent this month.

The Lumia 610 dropped from 11.1 percent to 9.8 percent, enough to remain at fourth place.

Rounding the top five is the Lumia 720, which coincidentally made its debut with the Lumia 520 at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and later at the same event in India. The Lumia 720 finished at 9.6 percent, up from May's 4.2 percent, when it was at ninth place.

The Lumia 920, considered to be the flagship Windows Phone device in the U.S., fell one percent to 4.7 percent for ninth place.

The only non-Nokia device to place on AdDuplex's chart is the Samsung Omnia W, finishing at tenth place with four percent.
