Match 1: Triple H vs Curtis Axel

Triple H and Curtis Axel kick-off the show with Triple H stomping Axel down until Vince McMahon's music hits. McMahon heads towards ring announcer Justin Roberts and makes him announce that Triple is disqualified.
Winner: Curtis Axel via disqualification

Triple H re-starts the match as McMahon makes his way back up the ramp.

Match 2: Triple H vs Curtis Axel

Axel and Triple H lock up as McMahon makes his way back down to ringside. McMahon then forces Roberts to declare Axel the winner via forfeit.
Winner: Curtis Axel via forfeit

Triple H leaves the ring and demands that Roberts announce a new match ... Axel versus Triple H in a 60-minute "Iron Man" match.

As the match is about to start, McMahon demands that Axel leave the ring. McMahon then grabs the bell and microphone away from Roberts and walks back up the ramp.

Backstage, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon argue over what happened in the ring, with Triple H telling his wife that Vince embarrassed him. Stephanie pleads with Triple H to consider his long-term health. Triple H warns her to tell Vince he best stay out his way.

Match 3: United States Champion Dean Ambrose v Kane (non-title)

Ambrose is accompanied by Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, who leave the ringside area prior to the match. Ambrose took control of the match halfway through, but Kane sent Ambrose flying into the corner, following up with a clothesline. Kane gets a two-count after nailing a sidewalk slam. Ambrose fights back and goes for a suplex only to eat a headbutt, from Kane, and flying clothesline. Kane calls out going for the chokeslam, as Ambrose rolls out the ring, and Rollins and Reigns charge into the ring to attack Kane.
Winner: Kane via disqualification

Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton come in to make the save for Kane, clearing The Shield out of the ring.

The trio go on to argue backstage, with Bryan telling Kane he can't beat Orton and makes fun of Orton's tattoos. Vickie Guerrero walks in and announces Orton and Bryan will fight for the tag-team titles at the "Payback" pay-per-view (PPV), against The Shield, while Kane gets a shot at Ambrose U.S. title.

Match 4: The Miz v Cody Rhodes

Prior to the match, Michael Cole announces that Fandango is injured and that Wade Barrett would defend his title at "Payback" against The Miz. The Miz have a steady back-and-forth until The Miz gets control late in the match, cinching the figure-four leglock for the submission win.
Winner: The Miz

Barrett, who was doing commenting, heads to the ring before being interrupted by Paul Heyman, who announces that there will be a triple-threat Intercontinental title match at "Payback", after all, and that Axel will replace Fandango.

Vince and Stephanie continue their backstage argument over Triple H, with Vince warning Stephanie that he does not care about Triple H's pride, the only that matters is the family business.

Jericho comes out to the ring to promote his PPV match against CM Punk, before he is interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, taking issue as to who Jericho thinks is the best wrestler in the world. Jericho challenges Ziggler to a match but Ziggler offers up Big E. Langston instead.

Match 5:Chris Jericho v Big E. Langston

Langston is in control early on, using his power advantage over the smaller Jericho. Jericho tries to fight back sending Langston flying over the ropes as Langston went for the Irish-whip. Jericho attempts a pin, after working over Langston outside the ring. Langston fights back, tossing Jericho into the steel steps. After throwing Jericho back to the ring, he continues controlling the match. Jericho turns it around, hitting an Enziguri after Langtson attempted a clothesline. Jericho goes for a splash, only to get caught by Langston in midair, and took a backbreaker for his troubles. Jericho kicks out of the two-count and counters Langston's splash by putting his knees up. As Jericho attempts a crossbody, Ziggler jumps into the ring, and Jericho gets smashed as he was distracted. Langston attempts his "Big Ending" finisher only be interrupted by Alberto Del Rio, who hits Langston from behind and goes on to attack Ziggler. Jericho hits Langston with the Codebreaker and gets the pin.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Match 6: Sin Cara v Antonio Cesaro

Zeb Colter is the guest commentator for the match - insulting Sin Cara's heritage, as he battles against Cesaro. Both combatants go back-and-forth. Cesaro traps Sin Cara in a chinlock, which he spun around, only for Cesaro to turn the maneuver into the Neutralizer. Cesaro goes for the pin and gets the win.
Winner: Antonio Cesaro

Match 7: Randy Orton (w/ Daniel Bryan) v Roman Reigns (w/ Seth Rollins)

Reigns control a large portion of the match, with Orton regaining control after a failed Samoan Drop by Reigns, which Orton converted into a backbreaker. Orton goes for his rope-assisted DDT and attempts to follow up with an RKO but Rollins attacks Bryan. Orton tosses Rollins and chaos unfolds with Bryan attacking Reigns.
Winner: No Contest

Match 8: Daniel Bryan (w/ Randy Orton) v Seth Rollins (w/ Roman Reigns)

Somehow, the referee regains control, with Rollins and Bryan putting on a wrestling clinic of moves and counter-moves. Bryan takes control after Rollins failed to hit a move off the top rope. Bryan attempts a "Chaos Theory" finisher but only gets a two-count. Bryan climbs the ropes only to have Rollins trip him off the ropes. Rollins attempts a DDT off the top rope, only to get crotched by Bryan. Bryan turns his body and nails a cross-body off the top rope. Reigns looks to interfere only to have Orton attack him. Rollins gets up first but Bryan rolls up bhis foe and the three-count victory for Bryan.
Winner: Daniel Bryan

Rollins attempts to attack Bryan after the match but eats an RKO from Orton instead as The Shield retreats for the night.

Kaitlyn comes out to the ring to learn who her secret admirer is and it turns out to be Langston. Langston confesses how much he loves her, holds her lovingly, puts his forehead against hers, looks into her eyes, dips her in, closes in for a kiss, only to drop her to the mat.

AJ comes out to torment Kaitlyn, telling her she can get into her head.

Match 9: R-Truth v Damien Sandow

R-Truth started off strong but Sandow took advantage when the action went outside the ring, sending R-Truth into the barricades. Sandow takes the action back to the ring continuing the beating and going for the "Elbow of Disdain" for a two-count. R-Truth fights back, nails a Hurricanrana, and a suplex for a two-count. Sandow kicks out, regains control and hits his new finisher, The Silencer, for the pin.
Winner: Damien Sandow

Backstage, Vince, Triple H, and Stephanie talk out their differences, with Vince telling Triple H has to take the high-road. Vince offers him a match against Axel next week, but Triple H says he sees Vince's point of view and declines.

Ryback and John Cena promote their "Payback" PPV main event match. Ryback, standing at the top of the ramp, tells Cena he should have already been a world champion, accusing the current champ of sabotaging his opportunities and leaving him hanging out to dry during his past three title opportunities. Cena accuses him of making excuses for his failures. Ryback promises to make Cena pay in the lumberjack match, put him through a table, and then put him in an ambulance.

Ryback makes his way to the ring and locks up with Cena. The lumberjacks attempt to separate them both as the show ends.
