Rumors of ego clashes have begun to circle around the set of "The X Factor" between Mexican pop idol Paulina Rubio and teen sensation Demi Lovato, E Online Latin America reports.

Paulina Rubio first said that she was honored and excited to share the judges table with the young Lovato, but according to sources close to the show, Rubio has become increasingly irritated with the former Disney princess' supposed negative attitude.

Even though everyone on the show has kept silent on the first ego clash between the two stars, several news sources have echoed the news on how Demi's attitude threatens to disrupt the harmony on set.

"The whole team is very annoyed by how arrogant Demi has become in recent show tapings. Paulina Rubio has taken offense at how a young girl has tried to give her lessons on how the entertainment world works, and we run the risk that Paulina might explode at her, because she is a woman with a very strong character " a source close to the program told In Touch magazine.

"Demi is very excited about being the only surviving judge from last season after 'The X Factor' went through a major transformation, but also because her latest album has been very successful, which makes her think she is the only relevant singer of the three in the panel, brushing aside the long careers and experiences of both Paulina and Kelly," the insider said.

Rubio has recently made headlines in her native Mexico for her alleged affair with Gerardo Bazúa who was a contestant in the Mexican edition of "The Voice," where she had a succesful role as a judge. Rubio had a difficult 2013 in her personal life as her relationship with Nicolás Vallejo-Nájera, came to an end amid a very public divorce.

Auditions for the new season of "The X Factor" began on March 6 in Los Angeles and the show is set to premiere in the fall of this year on Fox.
