The third season of "Game of Thrones" is tragically coming to an end, but with every ending there's a new beginning. Although the season 3 finale will air this Sunday, the soundtrack is close behind, and WaterTower Music is currently previewing the album in its entirety prior to the July 9 release.

The soundtrack from Grammy nominee Ramin Djawadi feature two alternate versions on the show's theme song, most likely the only track fans will able to pick out amongst the other orchestral pieces that are strewn throughout the season 3 episodes. Preview the album here.

The finale episode is called "Mhysa," which comes from the Low Valyrian language spoken in Slaver's Bay and means 'Mother.' There are several key mothers in the series, the most prominent being Daenerys, the mother of dragons, and Cersei Lannister, mother of the vicious young king, Joffrey. The official episode synopsis reads as follows:

Joffrey challenges Tywin. Bran tells a ghost story. In Dragonstone, mercy comes from strange quarters. Dany waits to see if she is a conqueror or a liberator.

The northerners catch wind of what happened to Robb Stark, their king, and plan their revenge against House Frey and the Lannisters. Jaime Lannister will make his return after being absent from last week's episode as his father, Tywin Lannister, goes head to head with the young tyrant, King Joffrey. If anyone is strong and vicious enough to get through to the little brute, it's Tywin.

The season 3 finale of "Game of Thrones" will air this Sunday on HBO. It's been a short season, but an exciting one at that, and we can't wait to see how it all comes to a close.
