The first fake trailer for "Star Wars Episode 7" was posted by franchise fans.

The trailer features a few glimpses of Darth Malgus from "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic." The villain is a wrinkled, evil-looking character with red pupils and a breathing apparatus. He appears to be modeled after Darth Vader without the top half of the iconic villain's helmet.

Along with the trailer a "making of" video was posted. It reveals that the costume of the villain is made from scratch by the talented Julian Checkley. Checkley goes by the alias Darth Serberus, aka the owner of "Order 66 Creatures and Effects."

According to Checkley, filming was completed by Kamil Photography with a Red MX camera. Checkley also revealed that the costume was made for fun and to wear at special events like comic book conventions.

Checkley posted pictures of the costume on the prop forum and stated that he was leaving the film industry for now. He said, "I learnt my skills working in the film industry for 20 years but now I mainly make private commissions. But if JJ came calling I could definitely be tempted back! ;)"

Episode 7 is currently in pre-production with J.J Abrams slated to direct. Abrams has yet to reveal details about the film and no villain has been chosen.

According to the IMDB page, Abrams' frequent editing team of Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey are already confirmed as editors while Darren Gilford is also credited as the production designer. Costume designer Michael Kaplan will create the wardrobe.

Composer John Williams also showed interest in the project and recently expressed his desire to return to the franchise. He stated, "We've certainly talked about that, and I'm happy and willing to do it."

"Star Wars Episode 7" is slated to begin shooting in 2014 in the UK with Kathleen Kennedy producing and Michael Arndt writing the script.
