Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn sets out to rectify the universally horrid reception of the Massively Mutiplayer Online Game's original release. With an August 27 launch fast approaching, Square-Enix has released an in-depth look into Eorzea, the setting that players will have the opportunity to explore. The seven minute walkthrough showcases the vast environments of the MMO through the perspective of several character types.

When Final Fantasy first launched, the developer was forced to completely terminate servers after reviewers and franchise fans alike skewered the final product. The upcoming revision will launch on the Playstation 3 and PC, and cost $39.99 and $29.99, respectively. Square-Enix will also charge fee of $12.99 per month for users, bucking the rising trend of free-to-play MMO's such as Star Wars: The Old Republic and Guild Wars 2.

Reportedly, players who were burned by the original game will be granted a free download of 'A Realm Reborn,' according to Eurogamer.
