The dust is still settling on the Xbox One reveal, but already fans are giving their two cents on the new console.

With it's emphasis on special features and connectivity between the Xbox One, television, music, and games, many are pointing out that the system resembles more of a multimedia platform than a gaming console. Indeed, during the actual livestream, presenters frequently mentioned live sports broadcasts, fantasy sport updates and Skype, with few games actually shown during the event besides Call of Duty: Ghosts. Some fans have taken to Twitter to voice their displeasure, such as Mordekaiser:

"This #xboxreveal reminds me of the time MTV stopped playing music and went to reality shows instead"

Other fans have shown their distaste for the Xbox One by creating pictures of the Xbox One logo with a VCR underneath, a jab at the consoles focus on bringing live television to the console experience.  Another fan has already made a Twitter account for the Call Of Duty: Ghosts Dog, which many claim to be the best part of the whole presentation.

However, some fans have come forward to defend the Xbox One, such as Gary Whitta

"Guys, the fact that Xbox will do stuff it's never done before doesn't mean it will do less of the stuff it's always done. CHILL," Whitta said.

One interesting factoid coming from the Xbox One reveal is that Sony's stocks have risen in value by 8.5 percent after the Xbox One reveal---Microsoft's main competitor and not exactly the reaction Microsoft was hoping for from the gaming and entertainment community. Overall, it seems that the gaming realm is underwhelmed by the Xbox One initially and were hoping for more actual game information from Microsoft. Matimi0 sums up what most are thinking with this simple statement:

"Well for home entertainment it looked interesting, but pretty disappointing from a gamers point of view."
