Pregnancy and counterterrorism don't generally go together, however it seems to be a reoccurring theme in the hit series "Homeland." Last season, the show got its first does of maternity when Claire Danes, who plays Carrie, announced that she was pregnant. Fans wondered how the show would mask the pregnancy, but the producers did an incredible job with the help of costume design and strategic camera angles. Now, it's round two.

According to US Weekly, Morena Baccarin, who plays Jessica Brody on "Homeland," is pregnant with her first child, which is due later this year. While fans revel in the good news, the show may have to take an interesting turn in order to accommodate. There are rumors that someone will have a one-night stand with somebody, but it's unclear as to whom. Jessica already has an unsavory reputation after being married to a suspected terrorist, so one-night stand doesn't seem too far off, however there's no way to be certain. Could the show incorporate the pregnancy into the plotline, or will the show cover it up like they did with Carrie in season 2?

As of now, it's all up in the air, but fans will find out soon enough. Although the season 3 premiere isn't until September, spoilers and other rumors will likely surface during production. Now that the secret's out, there's no containing the speculation.

"Homeland" will return to Showtime September 29. Read the official season 3 synopsis below.

"'Homeland' Season 3 opens during the aftermath of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world's most wanted terrorist -- Nick Brody (Damian Lewis). As Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives, they are swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody's whereabouts."
