Season four of CBS' popular drama 'The Good Wife' ended just a month ago but fans are already clamoring for any information about next fall's season five. The show, which ended its last season with Alicia (Julianna Margulies) joining Cary's (Matt Czuchry) new firm, was renewed earlier this month in its normal Sunday time-slot during the CBS Upfront 2013.

Many fans are wondering whether Matthew Perry will reprise his role of Mike Kresteva now that his show "Go On" has been axed by NBC. According to TVLine, executive producer Robert King sure hopes so. King told the publication that he intends to do "whatever we can to get him."

Following the Florrick campaign's ballot-tampering cover-up, TVLine reported Perry would fit right in with the storyline. The EP added, "If we get Matthew, he will be involved with that. There are too many options there. What's lovely about the [Kresteva] character is I recognize him in [real] life-the person who lies with such conviction that he convinces everybody, even the person who knows they're being lied about. And yet, he has a [legitimate] issue [now], which is there was vote corruption."

King also revealed that Alicia's move to Cary's new firm would definitely mess up her relationship with Will (Josh Charles). He told TVLine, "That was something that Alicia realized might be a repercussion from the decision to go with Cary. When she said, 'I'm in,' she knew this was going to throw a real monkey wrench into [their] relationship."

However, it won't mean the end of Will and Alicia's love story. Robert and Michelle King spilled that the Will-Alicia-Peter triangle will take "on a new dimension." They added, "Love on its own becomes tiresome and repetitive (maybe not in life, but in drama.) And hate mixed with love makes a highly combustible combination."

Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and Cary fans will also be happy to know that the producers are planning "a lot of surprises" for their favorite couple.

'The Good Wife' will return for season five this fall on Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
