Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 owners will have to wait a bit longer for an Android update due to problems with the tablet's processor.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 was scheduled to receive Android Jelly Bean update 4.1.2, however, Samsung is reportedly having problems with its Exynos processor. The update has been scheduled for a May or June rollout.

According to SamMobile, the new Jelly Bean update would give the Galaxy Tab 7.7 similar features seen in fellow Samsung tablet Galaxy Note 10.1.

The timing of the delay comes as other Galaxy tablets started to receive their Android updates.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 received its Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, courtesy of T-Mobile. The update is provided over-the-air (OTA). To manually check for the update, press "Menu," then "Settings," followed by "About phone," and touch "Software Update." Users should then follow the onscreen prompts then wait as the tablet restarts and updates.

Sprint also rolled out its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Jelly Bean update earlier this month. According to Sprint, "stunning" graphical functions and enhanced features are included in the update. In addition, Google Now will be installed.

Meanwhile, Galaxy Tab 7.7 owners will have to wait a couple months more. The original mobile operating system for the 7.7-inch tablet is Android 3.2, also known as Honeycomb.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 features 1,280x800 pixels with 196 pixels per inch. The tablet is available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB internal storage variants with 1GB of RAM. A microSD card slot is offered for an additional 32GB of storage. The device has 5,100mAh battery capacity, which provides up to 1,100 hours on standby when in a 3G network.
