We all remember Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart from "Twilight." Well, what if the star duo paired up once again to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the upcoming "50 Shades of Grey" film? Any official casting decisions have yet to be made, but fans continue to speculate as to who will claim the racy roles, and this time around Pattison and Stewart are in the limelight.

The two have been in a streaky relationship off the camera, but it doesn't seem to effect their performance onscreen. Their characters in "Twilight" even inspired author E. L. James to write "50 Shades of Grey." The couple's compatibility and place in James' heart make them strong candidates for the Christian and Ana roles, but some fans think their ties to "Twilight" would take away from the "50 Shades" film.

Fans fear that the movie would be too closely compared to "Twilight" and would add an unfitting fantastical element to the movie. There's no room for werewolves and vampires in "50 Shades," just erotic fantasies.

Stewart has already addressed the circulating casting rumors. "First of all, they haven't called me or anything, they haven't offered me the part," she said. "It's spicy. Yeah. I don't know, I haven't read the whole thing and it's also a highly coveted part everyone is trying to. But I'm pretty daring."

Stewart and Pattison are far from the fan-favorites and face stiff competition from Hollywood stars such as Alexis Bledel, Matt Bromer, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, but nothing is impossible.

One fan took the extra step and made a mock trailer for the "50 Shades" movie featuring the handsome couple. The user made the video back in 2011, but it's still receiving great response from avid fans.

The "50 Shades of Grey" film is set to hit theaters summer 2014, which leaves more than a year of agonizing waiting ahead. The cast hasn't even been confirmed, and yet fans are already obsessing over the movie's details. It's going to be a looong year.
