Lionel Messi scored five goals in Barcelona's game against Bayer Leverkusen, a match that ended with a scoreboard of 7 -1 giving the 'Barça' a pass to the Champion league's quarter finals.

The Spanish team, superior all throughout the game, had Lionel Messi, its star player, shine once again by scoring multiple goals.

The player in Barcelona that scored the other two goals was Cristian Tello who like Messi is from Argentina while the author of the only goal scored by Bayer Leverkusen was Bellarbi.

This was not Messi's first time to score multiple goals. In fact, it reminded us of his spectacular matches in which he scored multiple goals--four goals against Arsenal, and four goals in a recent match against Valencia.

Messi is on his way to become the highest scorer for Barcelona in the team's history. The number one spot belongs to Cesar Rodriguez with 235 goals. Messi has scored 211 goals as of January 15, 2012.
