Hollywood's biggest night takes place on Sunday when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hand out the awards for the best in filmmaking in 2012. However, the day before that, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation will hand out the controversial Razzies, awards designed to ridicule the worst in the movie business for a calendar year.

This year the top nominees for Worst Picture include "Battleship," "The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure
," "That's My Boy
," "A Thousand Words
," and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2."  The "Twilight" franchise has been nominated for the award during the last three years, but has not won in its first two tries. Last year's "loser" for Worst Picture was Adam Sandler's "Jack and Jill;" the thespian can obtain another such distinction this year for his film "That's My Boy."

Nominated in the Worst Actor category are Nicholas Cage ("Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" and "Seeking Justice"), Eddie Murphy ("A Thousand Words), Robert Pattinson ("Breaking Dawn Part 2)", Tyler Perry ("Alex Cross" and "Good Deeds") and Adam Sandler ("That's My Boy).

Nominated for Worst Actress is Katherine Heigl ("One for the Money"), Milla Jovovich ("Resident Evil: Retribution"), Tyler Perry ("Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection"), Kristen Stewart ("Snow White and the Huntsman" and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2") and Barbra Streisand ("The Guilt Trip").

Worst Director nominees include Sean Anders ("That's My Boy), Peter Berg ("Battleship"), Bill Condon ("The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"), Tyler Perry ("Good Deeds" and "Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection") and John Putch ("Atlas Shrugged: Part II").

Overall, "Twilight" leads the pack with 11 nominations. "That's My Boy" follows with eight nods and "Battleship" was "honored" seven times. Twenty-two films were nominated overall.

The ceremony will take place later this evening (the official time has not been disclosed) and can be viewed on the YouTube channel.

Live updates are available on the official Facebook page and Twitter feed (@RazzieAwards).
