The Pokémon fans have voted and the results are in.

Last week, the Pokémon Company International announced the introduction of the latest Eevee evolution and new Pokémon to the upcoming sixth generation games "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" set to be released in four continents in October.

The new Eevee evolution was revealed to be Sylveon.

Latinos Post conducted a unscientific poll on readers' thoughts of Sylveon. With 2,002 votes, as of Feb. 18, a heavy majority of 59.04 percent polled "I like it," as opposed to the narrow options of "Not a Fan" and "Indifferent," which received 23.28 percent and 17.68 percent.

While it appears 59 percent likes the new Eevee evolution, its type is still unknown.

Latinos Post therefore featured a second poll asking readers on what type they think Sylveon is, with the options of Fighting, Flying, Ghost, Normal, the rumored new type Light, a combination of either options above, or none of the above.

With 740 votes, as of the time of writing, 39.32 percent believe Sylveon will be a Flying type. In second, the rumored Light received 23.51 percent as Normal rounded up the top three with 14.86 percent.

The other results went as followed:

None of the Above: 8.38 percent

Ghost: 6.62 percent

Fighting: 3.92 percent

Combination of Either Option Above: 3.38 percent.

Aside from Sylveon, five other new Pokémon have been confirmed for "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y." Three of the new Pokémon are the starters: Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.

Latinos Post also polled fans on their favorite new starter Pokémon so far. With almost 2,320 votes, the new fire Pokémon Fennekin reached number one among readers with 50.73 percent.

The grass Pokémon Chespin landed in second place with 27.61 percent while the new water Pokémon Froakie finished third with 17.86 percent. A fourth option was provided - None of the Above - which garnered 3.8 percent.

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" will launch in October in Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America for the Nintendo 3DS.
