Jennifer Lopez revealed her desire to produce a movie about Jenni Rivera.

According to TvyNovela, Lopez recently met with Rivera's sister Rosie in which they discussed the project. Lopez stated that Rivera deserves a Hollywood production similar to that of Selena Quintanilla. Lopez mentioned that she sees a parallel in their lives and would want a film as successful as "Selena." She added that she wants the movie to have the best production and that she would do it under her own company Nuryoican productions.

Lopez admitted that she never met Rivera but was inspired by her story and respected her as one of the great Latin American artists. Lopez also stated that when she heard about Rivera's death, she thought about Rivera's five children, and the passengers.  She posted a message on Twitter stating that she was praying for her family and hoped that Rivera would rest in peace. She also wrote that Rivera was too young and it was not her time to die.

Lopez rose to fame after playing the iconic singer, Selena for which she earned a Golden Globe. The "Diva from the Bronx" recently made headlines at the Grammys when she disobeyed the dress code by showing too much leg. She told Ryan Seacrest that "they didn't say anything about leg! I thought I was being such a good girl! A little shoulder, a little leg."

She recently noted that she wanted to win an Oscar because every actor/actress wants to be recognized for their hard work. Lopez can be currently seen in the film "Parker" which is directed Taylor Hackford and also stars Jason Statham.

Lopez and her ex-husband Marc Anthony were also spotted in a hotel for a number of hours before the premiere of her new film. The meeting spurred rumors of a possible reconciliation especially after Anthony split with his last girlfriend Shannon de Lima.
