"Who is Benedict Cumberbatch's character?" is one of the most persistent questions surrounding the upcoming "Star Trek Into Darkness" movie directed by J.J. Abrams. Little has been revealed about the villain played by the British thespian but many have speculated that he could be the noted villain Khan. That is not likely according to Alice Eve.

Eve was interviewed during the British Academy Awards on Sunday and stated that Cumberbatch's character John Harrison is not Khan. "He not playing Khan," she said nonchalantly. However, Eve is not the only actor to go on record and make this claim. Simon Pegg and Cumberbatch himself have all asserted that Khan is not going to make an appearance.

Screen Crush notes that while their statement could be true, actors have a penchant for not telling the truth in order to avoid revealing plot spoilers. Last year, Marion Cotillard denied rumors that she was playing Talia Al Ghul in "The Dark Knight Rises;" however the final plot twist revealed that she actually was.

Paramount has also released a new mobile app to keep fans up to date on the upcoming blockbuster. Included with the app were two new pictures for the new film.

Alice Eve is slated to play Carol Marcus in the upcoming movie. She will be joined by Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and Peter Weller in the film directed by JJ Abrams.
