This weekend the BAFTA, the Grammys, and the American Cinematographers awards ceremonies are set to take place. However Winter Storm Nemo will affect all these ceremonies with many celebrities and industry personal being stranded in the New York and Tri-State area.

The Northeastern Storm Nemo has already forced over 3,000 flight cancelations throughout the North East in New York, Boston, and New Jersey. It is also threatening to leave thousands in the black and has already caused gas shortages throughout the states. According to the Hollywood Reporter many industry professionals have already cancelled their plans to arrive in LA for the Grammys, ASC, the Sci-Tech Oscars, and Emmy Kids awards in Los Angeles. These cancellations have also caused problems for artists traveling to London for the BAFTAs.

TV shows may also be affected by the storm as well as some may be forced to cancel. The "Herve Leger Max Azria" show is scheduled for Saturday but there are no plans to reschedule at the moment. Other shows that are currently filming in New York include "Blue Bloods," "The Carrie Diaries," "Elementary," "The Good Wife," "Person of Interest"and "Smash." However there have been no statements as to whether the productions would be cancelled.

The New York Mayor's office told Hollywood Reporter that "We are closely monitoring the storm but have no plans to revoke permits at the moment."

The entertainment industry has already been affected with Marc Jacobs postponing his show at New York Fashion Week. The designer stated that his accessories, bags, and shoes had not arrived on time and would reschedule his show for Feb.14.

As the storm gets closer it is more likely that we hear news regarding Red Carpet cancelers.
