The #5 Kansas Jayhawks will try to bounce back from their first loss in almost three months by facing the TCU Horned Frogs at 9 pm EST on Wednesday in a Big 12 basketball game. Kansas had the nation's longest winning streak (18 games) snapped last time out against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

KLWN 1320 AM has the radio broadcast for the Kansas Jayhawks and the TCU live stream is on Frog Vision.

The Jayhawks' defeat was one of only two this season and the only one against an unranked opponent. The previous Kansas defeat was on November 13, when the Michigan State Spartans beat them 67-64 in Lawrence. The team from the geographic center of the continental U.S. is 2-1 against ranked teams this season. Kansas is first in the Big 12 with a 7-1 conference record, leading the #13 Kansas State Wildcats by half a game.

Ben McLemore leads the Jayhawks in scoring with 16.4 points per game. He is also the leader in three-point shot efficiency at .455, and has made 50.9 percent of his shots overall. Jeff Withey paces the team in rebounds with 8.3 per game on average. Elijah Johnson has a 4.9 assists per game average and Travis Releford leads in field goal percentage (.610).

Kansas trailed 40-34 at halftime against the Cowboys, gained the lead in the second, but fell behind with fewer than three minutes to go in the 85-80 defeat. McLemore had 23 points, Withey notched  eight rebounds and three blocks, and Johnson had six helpers in the loss.

TCU had only four losses through the 2012 portion of this season's games but has lost eight in a row. The Horned Frogs are 9-12 overall but still winless in the Big 12. They have not beaten a ranked team yet this season, and have only had two games in that situation so far.

Kyan Anderson has a team-high 11.2 points, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game averages. Adrick McKinney averages 6.9 rebounds per game. Amric Fields has a .643 shooting percentage to lead the team, and Garlon Green's .410 mark behind the three point arc is tops among the Horned Frogs this season.

Only three players had more than four points in the 60-43 loss at the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. McKinney had 13 and eight rebounds, Connell Crossland had eight and 12 rebounds and Green had eight on two-of-three shooting from three-point land.
