That long, sloppy kiss between supermodel Bar Refaeli and ‘Walter the Nerd’--the one you could hardly bear to watch but somehow couldn’t stop watching--apparently took dozens of takes to get right.

Jesse Heiman, who played the nerdy character, told CNN that "it was somewhere between 45 and 65 [takes]. I know the rumors online are that I was the one asking for more takes, but it was actually give-and-take---she was asking for more, too."

The 30-second ad ran during the first quarter of the Super Bowl and, says Time's Nick Carbone, "touts Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli as the sexy side of the company, and the chubby Bostonian actor as the buttoned-up Walter, the smart side." Go Daddy spokeswoman Danica Patrick says, "Together, they're perfect," and Refaeli and Heiman lean in for a long, wet, noisy kiss.

"All my dreams have come true. It was like kissing paradise. Like kissing God's hands," Heiman told the New York Daily News. He wouldn't reveal how much he was paid for the commercial, but the Daily News's Don Kaplan reports that according to 'Madison avenue experts,' Heiman likely earned between $35,000 and $50,000 for the ad.

Heiman is a career Hollywood extra, and has appeared in around 65 movies and TV shows, reports Time.

"I'm glad to represent the fat guy or the nerd guy," he told CNN. "All those stories about people getting bullied, I'm glad to represent them and show that you can accomplish anything if you dream big."
