Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was called "dull" by his own father before Super Bowl XLVII. He took a backseat to the flashier QB Colin Kaepernick in the hype department, both on and off the field. He wasn't even the main subject of attention on his own team, because of linebacker Ray Lewis's retirement. Despite not getting credit for being an elite quarterback back when Flacco called himself one, the former Delaware Blue Hen got plenty of it in his Super Bowl MVP performance, becoming the sixth player to throw three touchdown passes in the first half of America's biggest sporting event. Here's a bit more information about the QB, including his wife, his new contract, stats and why he dropped an F-Bomb on national television.

Flacco was earnest in his post-Super Bowl celebration, swearing with a microphone not far away. The video is here (with profane language):

It's not the first time there's been some sort of broadcast miscue during the NFL's championship. Between singer MIA's flipping the cameras off in the recent past and Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" almost a decade ago.

There's not much information publicly available about Dana (Grady) Flacco, but she and Joe started dating in high school, and got married a year and a half ago. They have a six-month old child, and just told family members that they are expecting another baby, the Baltimore Sun reports.

This video interview features Joe's insight on how his team succeeded in the Super Bowl, what the process to get his new contract will be and more.

We discussed Joe Flacco's legacy in a story yesterday.

A few reporters chime in on what type of money Flacco deserves, and whether or not he's an elite QB.

Here's Joe Flacco's appearance on David Letterman, which every Super Bowl MVP in recent past has been interviewed on.

This Bleacher Report story shares the reaction much of the Twitterverse had about Flacco's performance and gives a few nods for specific accomplishments he achieved in the game.
