The Buffalo Sabres (3-5-1) and Ottawa Senators (5-3-1) will look to end two game losing streaks when they face-off on Tuesday.

The Sabres are coming off two embarrassing losses. After being destroyed 6-1 by the Canadiens on Saturday, the Sabres blew a 3-1 lead against a weak Florida Panthers team en route to losing 4-3. The top line continued to play well for Buffalo and Thomas Vanek continued his dominant start to the season with three points in the affair. However, the lack of secondary scoring continued to hinder the team.

"[The top line] has played really well," coach Lindy Ruff said. "They've got great chemistry and played well, made great plays, but we do need other people to get on the scoreboard."

The Ottawa Senators showcased tremendous offensive display in their first seven games of the season, but have only scored once in their last two. The team was shutout 1-0 against Carolina on Friday and then subsequently beaten 2-1 against the Montreal Canadiens. Despite the loss, Coach Paul MacLean was pleased with his players. "I thought our team played real hard," MacLean said. "I thought [the Canadiens] had most of the first period, but for the whole game I'm pretty pleased with how we played. I'm disappointed with the loss, but I thought our team played well."

Previous Meetings: This is the first meeting of the team between the teams. They split the six meetings last season.
