Super Bowl Sunday came and passed without the expected release of the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6, but luckily, it looks as if the folks over at evasi0n worked hard through the night to roll out the jailbreak, which is now available for download.

Those who wish to grab the jailbreak can do so at evasi0n.com, the official website of the group of hackers known as evad3rs, the ones responsible for releasing the iOS 6 jailbreak. Downloads are available for Mac, Windows, and Linux users.

The untethered jailbreak works on all devices running iOS 6.0 through iOS 6.1. This means that if you own an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4, iPod Touch 5, iPad 3, iPad 4, or iPad mini, you're in luck. The rest of you will simply have to buy a newer Apple product to experience the latest iOS has to offer.

The jailbreak will give users the standard ability to customize their device more and execute apps that aren't officially sanctioned by Apple. Be sure to read instructions carefully, and always back up your device before going through a software tweak of this magnitude.

An interesting sidenote is that the jailbreak also suggests that an Apple Spotify-like streaming service is not too far off. The keen eyes over at 9to5Mac found some buried files in their newly-jailbroken iPad that indicate a new "Radio Buy" function in iTunes. Since this service does not yet exist, it's speculated this is the Apple streaming music service we heard about from Bloomberg last year. The file only appears in jailbroken iPads, and not in iPhones, oddly enough.

Let us know if you grab evad3ers' iOS 6 jailbreak and what you think of it.
