Ximena Navarrete and Silvia Navarro revealed that they auditioned for the female lead of William Levy's new novela "La Tempestad".

Actress Silvia Navarro, currently starring in "Amor Bravio," revealed that she went to Televisa to audition for the female lead and wanted to see what it was to kiss William Levy. She stated on the TV show "Hoy" that she does not know what will happen because her schedule is busy. She did mention that she enjoyed auditioning and kissing Levy during the tryout.

Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete also told reporters that she auditioned for the lead and was very nervous because she had never done an audition before. She stated that Levy was very nice during the audition. She also stated that the experience of working with Levy was great but did not know if she would get the part.

Over the last few weeks speculation over the female lead for the upcoming Telenovela has been a major conversation in Mexico. Angelique Boyer, Thalia and Venezuelan actress Myriam Abreu have all been linked as prospective candidates. Rising Hollywood star Sandra Echeverria was also asked to do the role, but turned it down due to a busy schedule. Even Levy's girlfriend Elizabeth Gutierrez has been rumored as the lead. However Levy told reporters that he has no plans on working with her. He stated that while she is a wonderful actress, they don't want to work together.

"La Tempestad" will be produced by Salvador Mejia and is slated to air on Univision next year.
