Chris Brown is under investigation for allegedly assaulting singer Frank Ocean in a Westlake Studios parking lot Sunday night. According to ABC News, the L.A. Police Department responded to emergency calls claiming that six men were brawling in a parking lot outside the recording studio, apparently fighting over a parking space.

"The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim," said the LAPD in a statement provided by ABC News. The report didn't identify the victim, but Frank Ocean posted on Twitter later that he "got jumped by (Brown) and a couple guys," according to ABC.

Celebrity gossip site TMZ, which first reported the incident, claimed that Chris Brown insisted Frank Ocean started the dispute, citing anonymous sources connected to Chris Brown.

"Chris was at Westlake Studio in the L.A. area listening to one of the artists he represents," TMZ reported. "The sources say as Chris went to leave, Ocean and his crew blocked Chris from leaving. The sources say Frank said, 'This is my studio, this is my parking spot.'"

Chris Brown has a track record of violent behavior. Last June, he was injured while brawling in a nightclub, and in 2009, he brutally assaulted his girlfriend Rihanna inside his car. According to the Daily Beast, Brown is "alleged to have smashed her head into the passenger window, punched her in the eye, continued to rain punches down on her until her mouth filled blood, threatened to kill her, put her in a headlock, bit her ear, and choked her until she almost lost consciousness."

No arrests were made after Sunday night's incident, and ABC News says calls to Ocean's and Brown's representatives were not returned.
