Her husband's very public affair with actress Kristen Stewart, 22, proved too much for British model Liberty Ross. The 34-year-old mother of two filed for divorce from director Rupert Sanders, 41, on Friday.

The two became estranged after Sanders was photographed in compromising photos with Stewart following their work on "Snow White and the Huntsman" last summer. According to UsWeekly, which was the first to publish the scandalous photos, Ross is requesting joint custody of the couple's two children (Skyla, 7, and Tennyson, 5), spousal support and attorney's fees.

A source reportedly told the magazine, "This was a long time coming." The source added that Sanders "did want to try to repair the relationship and didn't want a divorce." However, Ross "was more than a little upset," a second source told UsWeekly. "They gave it a shot for the kids, [but] she was just so angry...she's the kind of person who wouldn't really ever get over it."

According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Laura Wasser represents Ross, and she filed the divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court. Sanders, who is being represented by Lance Spiegel, filed his response to the divorce petition and also requested joint custody of their children. TMZ reported that he is not asking for spousal support but is hoping to share the attorney fees with his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Meanwhile, following the scandalous affair, Stewart was able to mend her relationship with "Twilight" co-star and boyfriend Robert Pattinson. The two reconciled just in time for the premiere of their last "Twilight Saga" film in November. However, there have been rumors that the couple has not been doing well since the British actor has been in Australia filming a new project.
