On Jan. 18, The Screen Actors Guild of America will hand out the acting awards.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards have always been a good indicator of who the acting awards will go to at the Oscars. This year, however, only 14 out of 20 SAG nominees matched the corresponding Oscar categories. Still the actors who are currently frontrunners for their respective categories were nominated and should continue to get a huge boost from a SAG win.
The Best Supporting Actress category has one frontrunner in the race with two others nominated for the Oscar and two who are not.
Throughout the precursor awards, "ParaNorman" has been the undisputed front-runner to win the Best Animated Film. The film has racked up 10 Best Animated film awards from such critics circles as the Boston Online Film Critics, Washington DC Film Critics, and San Francisco Film Critics. However, the film is not nominated for Golden Globe's Best Animated category, making the race more unpredictable. Here are the other nominees.
On Monday, the Oscar nomination votes will be due. With no major award associations announcing nominations or awards it is safe to say a major component of the race has already been finalized leading up to Monday's vote. After numerous precursors, the Golden Globe and SAG nominations, a few things have become increasingly clear.
The actor will be honored at the next Screen Actors Guild Awards in January 2013.
