Class Action Law Suit Filed Against Time Warner Cable; CBS and Time Warner Resume Talks to End Dispute

Time Warner subscribers in Milwaukee, Wis. have filed a class action law suit against Time Warner Cable for blocking out programming from WTMJ-TV, a local station owned by the Journal Broadcast Group. Meanwhile, CBS and Time Warner announced at a New York City hearing on Thursday that they will be resuming talks to end the dispute and CBS blackout.

Chairman and CEO of Time Warner, Glenn Britt, sent a letter to CBS offering two proposals in an effort to resolve the dispute. Both proposals were flatly rejected by CBS, signaling no end to the cable network standoff.
