On March 21, Summit will release "Divergent." The film is being headlined by Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winselt and Miles but also has a number of new upcoming actors. Christian Madsen is also getting a big break after having done a number of smaller independent films.
Alicia Vela-Baily has been working a stunt person for a number of years. She has done work on "Avatar," "Ender's Game," "Total Recall" and a number of other Hollywood productions. This year she recently took on one of the most challenging films of her career. She was the stunt double of actress Shailene Woodley in the upcoming Young Adult Adaptation of "Divergent." Latinos Post recently had a chance to interview her regarding the challenges and experience of working on "Divergent."
Rodrigo Santoro is reprising his role as role as Xerxes in the new film "300: Rise of an Empire." The actor was first seen in the original 2006 film "300," which was a box office hit. After his work in the film, he went on to work a number of films including "The Last Stand," "What to Expect When Your Expecting" and "Rio." After seven years he is returning to the role that brought him into the Hollywood spotlight The actor is currently filming the new movie "The 33" and he had a couple of minutes to speak to Latinos Post on his break.
On Feb. 26, the Metropolitan Opera will revive the baroque pastiche "The Enchanted Island" for its second run at the historic house. Among the artists returning to the production is mezzo-soprano Elizabeth DeShong.
