Pokémon's sixth generation video games are set to make history for an array of purposes and fans can start pre-ordering the games now.

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" are set to be released for the Nintendo 3DS in October 2013 across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America, a first since usually Japan debuts the game first followed by several months of localizing the games.

The new Pokémon games will also be in 3D, hence why it will be making its debut on the Nintendo 3DS rather than on the standard DS seen with the fourth and fifth generation games.

With "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" still nine months away from launching, pre-orders are being accepted in Japan and the U.S.

Play-Asia.com is accepting pre-orders of both sixth generation games for the price of $59.90. The site stated pre-orders made with the site will not be charge credit cards until the items in question are shipped. This is not the first time Play-Asia made pre-orders of the Pokémon games several months in advance, this was recently done for the "Black 2" and "White 2" versions in 2012.

GameStop is also accepting pre-orders in the U.S. but with a price tag of $39.99.

Another interesting note seen in Japan is the "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" game trailer. The trailer is the same as the English trailer aside from two aspects - the narrator's language obviously but also the logos.

The main catch in the logo features a DNA-like emblem. The DNA could give a purpose as to why the sixth generation games are titled "X" and "Y" representing the chromosomes rather than dimensions, however, that's not 100 percent confirmed.

If you have any Pokémon fan art you'd like to show off ahead of the October 2013, email m.oleaga@latinospost.com, and it could be featured in a future article.
