In Tuesday's episode of NBC's drama 'Parenthood,' relationship bonds among the Braverman family members and their loved ones were tested to somewhat positive results. In the Braverman-Graham household, Julia (Erika Christensen) struggled to overcome frustrations she had with the decision to formally adopt son Victor (Xolo Mariduena).

Over at Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Jasmine's (Joy Bryant) house, tensions rose as Jasmine's mother Renee (guest star Tina Lifford) oversteped her boundaries. Tensions were high for Crosby's sister Sarah (Lauren Graham) too as she was forced to consider her past relationship with fiancé Mark (Jason Ritter) and current relationship with boss Hank (Ray Romano). Sarah's oldest daughter Amber (Mae Whitman) also faced a past love, when she met up with Ryan (Matt Lauria) so that he could resolve his issues with her uncle Joel (Sam Jaeger).

As for the eldest Braverman, Adam (Peter Krause), and his family, his wife Kristina (Monica Potter) took up a crusade to help her son Max (Mac Brukholder) bring back vending machines to the school, and won. In the end, Julia decided to go ahead with her and Joel's adoption of Victor, slightly easing tensions at home.

In the show's season finale next Tuesday, entitled "Because You're My Sister," Julia and Joel plan an event for the entire Braverman clan, while Jasmine and Crosby celebrate their anniversary. NBC teases that the recently-wed couple will also receive some exciting news.

Mom Sarah and daughter Amber will both have to make tough decisions regarding their love lives. Sarah's son Drew (Miles Heizer) will also receive news of his college applications. The season's finale will also see Kristina and Adam prepare for the next step in her cancer treatment.

'Parenthood,' S4E15, "Because You're My Sister," airs on Tuesday, January 22 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
