The nine-month wait until "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" games will lead to tons of rumors and speculation, but one new confirmation has been announced regarding two legendary Pokémon.

The sixth generation Pokémon games will feature an unconfirmed number of Pokémon but likely enough to bring the total number - including from the first through fifth generations - to over 700 Pokémon. Two of the new Pokémon are Xerneas and Yveltal, the two mascots for "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" respectively.

The Pokémon Xerneas resembles a deer-like Pokémon and although the type has not been confirmed, its measurements have. Xerneas is 9-foot, 10-inches tall and weights 474-pounds (lbs).

Representing "Pokémon Y" is Yveltal, a bird-like Pokémon is nearly double the size but weighs a little less than Xerneas. Yveltal's height is 19-feet tall and weighs 447.5-lbs.

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" are set to be released in Australia, Europe, North America, and Japan in October 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS.

"We brought Pokémon into an entirely new dimension and we're incredibly excited to bring 'Pokémon X' and 'Pokémon Y' to fans," said GAME FREAK Inc. Video Game Director Junichi Masuda. "The stunning visuals, a completely redesigned environment, game scenario, music, and communication features will bring smiles to the faces of video game players around the world."
