'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is officially the most anticipated film of 2013, at least according to Fandango's list of Most Anticipated Blockbuster of 2013. The movie ticketing service released its list of most anticipated movie experience on Thursday, January 3.

'Catching Fire,' the sequel in the immensely popular 'Hunger Games' series beat out 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' and 'Iron Man 3' for the top spot as the Most Anticipated Blockbuster of this year. The film, which is scheduled to hit theaters in November, will see returning lead cast members Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne).

According to Fandango, the top pick was "an obvious choice given the fact that the original 'Hunger Games' movie was our top advance ticket-seller from 2012." J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek Into Darkness' (May 17) and Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby' (May 10) round out the top five.

Fandango chief correspondent Dave Karger told CBS News, "From the elegance of 'The Great Gatsby' to the amped up action of 'Iron Man 3,' 2013 will be loaded with blockbuster originals, sequels and reboots, giving moviegoers of all tastes a bounty of options at the box office this year."

In the category of Most Anticipated Apocalyptic Movie, Brad Pitt's 'World War Z' nabbed the top spot. The film, which will be released June 20, was followed by 'After Earth' (June 7) and 'Pacific Rim' (July 11). 'World War Z' was also picked as the Most Anticipated Blockbuster by Karger's personal picks.

'Man of Steele' actor Henry Cavill lead the pack of Biggest Male Breakout Movie Stars and was followed by 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' actor Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair). On the list of Biggest Female Breakout Movie Stars, 'Star Trek Into Darkness' actress Alive Eve took the top spot, beating out Chloë Grace Moretz from 'Carrie' and Alice Englert from 'Beautiful Creatures.'

Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive Mila Kunis grabbed the title of Sexiest Woman in the Movies for 2013 according to Fandango users. Kunis bested 'Sin City: A Dame to Die For' actress Jessica Alba and 'Movie 43' actress Halle Berry for the top spot. Actresses Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Lawrence wrapped up the top five spots.

Fandango users chose former People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive Channing Tatum Sexiest Man in the Movies for 2013. The 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' actor beat out Hugh Jackman ('The Wolverine'), Ryan Gosling ('Gangster Squad'), Johnny Depp ('The Lone Ranger') and Robert Downey, Jr. ('Iron Man 3') for the top spot.

As for the Most Anticipated Villain of 2013, 'Iron Man 3' actor Ben Kingsley nabbed the top spot with his portrayal of The Mandarin. The actor beat out Benedict Cumberbatch ('Star Trek Into Darkness') and Michael Shannon ('Man of Steele').
