Sunday will mark the final football games before the road to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans begins.

For the AFC, six teams have secured a spot in the playoffs. The New England Patriots won the East, Denver Broncos clinched the West, Houston Texans secured the South, Baltimore Ravens won the North, and the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals managed playoffs berths.

The Texans can clinch a first-round bye if they win or tie the next game and the Patriots lose or tie and the Broncos lose. The Houston based team can get home field advantage if they win or tie while the Broncos and Patriots lose or ties.

The Broncos can get a first-round bye with a win or tie and have the Patriots lose or tie. Home-field advantage is possible if the Broncos win and Texans lose or ties or the second scenario of a Broncos tie and Texans loss.

The Patriots can clinch home-field advantage with a win while the Broncos and Texans lose. A first round bye is possible if the Patriots win and either Broncos or Texans lose.

The NFC has four teams clinching playoff positions. The Green Bay Packers secured the North, the Atlanta Falcons won home-field advantage and the South, and the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks got playoff berths.

The Packers can clinch a first-round by if the following three scenarios take place:

1) A Packers victory over the Minnesota Vikings;

2) Packers Tie and the 49ers lose or ties;

3) 49ers lose and Seahawks lose or tie.

The 49ers can clinch the NFC West division if the following two scenarios happens:

1) 49ers win or tie the next game;

2) Seahawks lose.

The 49ers can get a first-round bye if they win and the Packers lose or tie.

The Seahawks can clinch the NFC West is they secure another win with a 49ers loss and clinch a first-round bye with a win and if the 49ers and Packers lose.

The Washington Redskins can clinch the NFC East division with a win against the Dallas Cowboys or tie. The Redskins can secure a playoff berth if both Bengals and Vikings lose.

The Cowboys can win the NFC East division with a win.

The Chicago Bears need a win and a Vikings lose to clinch a playoff berth or tie, yet still have the Vikings lose.

The New York Giants might have a complicated scenario. The Giants can clinch a playoff berth with a win against the Philadelphia Eagles while hoping the Cowboys, Bengals, and Vikings all lose.
