For all the glorification of sex in the media, Americans are still a rather prudish lot, even when they sleep.

A new survey from Anna Linens finds that only 8 percent of Americans sleep in the nude. A full 74 percent of respondents said they sleep in pajamas, while the rest wear "something else" to bed.

"We were surprised eight percent of our respondents admitted to sleeping naked," said CEO Alan Gladstone. He added an endorsement for one of the home décor company's products, saying, "For that group, we suggest our 100 percent Egyptian cotton sheets. They feel great against the skin."

The survey also found that 74 percent of Americans sleep only on their sides, 16 percent sleep on their stomachs, and 10 percent sleep on their backs, a position more likely to cause snoring.

But 47 percent sleep next to someone who snores, so many people must be snoring in all different kinds of positions. Of course, who really remembers exactly how they slept all night. It's very easy to switch positions without noticing it.

Only a little more than a quarter -- 26 percent -- remember their dreams, but of those, a full 70 percent said the dreams of their friends were more interesting than their dreams.

But 44 percent said their dreams were more bizarre than other people's dreams. Ten percent remember their dreams every night.

Only 10 percent get a "restful night's sleep" every night, 25 percent get a good night's sleep five to six times a week, while nearly everyone else only sleeps well half the week.

Naturally, Sunday and Monday were the worst nights to get good sleep, while Friday and Saturday were the best.
