The January transfer window is just around the corner and one major target has already been ruled out completely.

Brazilian superstar Neymar is not headed to Europe according to numerous reports. The 20-year-old has told TV Bandeirantes that he is content to remain on his current Brazilian squad Santos. "I am happy at Santos, with my family, son, friends, so it's not the moment to leave.

"That moment will come because I have had the dream of playing in Europe since I was a kid, but that moment hasn't come yet," said Neymar. "Today, I don't see myself playing for any other team."

Neymar had been previously linked with such major clubs as Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester City and Manchester United. According to Sportige, Neymar already has a deal in place with Barcelona but will not be playing with the club until after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The report asserts that Barcelona has already put forth 10 million Euros to Santos and will pay a total of 60 million euros for the star player. There is no confirmation on this report and Neymar's latest statement completely contradicts it, but there is a possibility that he joins Barcelona later in the season. This report does get some support from the fact that Barcelona striker David Villa is on the market since Neymar could potentially slot into Villa's position.

Neymar has scored 50 goals for his club and has more than 27 caps for the Brazilian national team. It is likely that if he is to transfer to Europe, it will come in the summer after Brazil defends its confederate cup on home soil in June. Neymar is slated to play for the national squad in that competition. "I would be lying if I said I am not thinking about the Confederations Cup," he added. ""I am very eager and I hope I will do a good job so we can win the title."
