Now that Miss USA's victory has had some time to simmer, we want to hear who you believed should have taken home the crown. The second runner-up, Miss Philippines, was a fan favorite for the competition, but came just short of victory. Venezuela, Australia, and Brazil followed, in that order.
As Latinos Post reported earlier, a vocal group of spectators were strongly dissatisfied with Janine Tugonon's (Philippines) loss.
Commentator Fatima Salian writes, "The obvious winner is Ms. Philippines... she had everything going for her.. that is until the final moment, when we all realized that the pageant is being held in Vegas! I guess USA needed the win more this time around."
"If you will base it on their answers then obviously the crown should instead gone to Miss Philippines!" adds PCD_2012.
In total, 89 contestants faced off in Miss Universe 2012, with Olivia Culpo's win breaking a 15 year losing streak for America. At a press conference, the newly appointed Miss Universe said, "My first pageant was a year ago and already I'm Miss Universe. It's kind of incredible."
