Irene Sofiá Esser Quintero has some heavy expectations tonight as she represents Venezuela for Miss Universe 2012.
At age 21, the aspiring actress was raised at a cocoa plantation owned by her family and became Miss Venezuela in 2011 after becoming Miss Sucre 2011, her hometown.
In order to become Miss Venezuela, she competed against 24 finalists where she was also awarded "Miss Elegance."
Outside of the pageant life, Eres' hobbies includes surfing, reading, and playing the violin, with the latter two proving of importance since electrical power was scarce when growing up.
Eres is considered as one of the favorites to win.
Eres is a bookies favorite, as according to Bookmaker, she is tied at second with Miss Puerto Rico, and behind Miss South Africa, ranked first.
In a Huffington Post poll among the Latino nations, Eres ranks second after Miss Puerto Rico's Bodine Koehler. The Sun poll has Miss Venezuela in third place, behind Miss Poland and Miss Great Britain.
Eres will be competing at the Las Vegas Strip's PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino where up to 7,000 people will be in attendance.
Bravo Executive Vice President of Development and Talent Andy Cohen and E! News Anchor and entertainment journalist Giuliana Rancic will host. Meanwhile, serving the judges table will include Brad Goreski, Cee Lo Green, Claudia Jordan, Diego Boneta, Kerri Walsh Jennings, Masaharu Morimoto, Nigel Barker, Pablo Sandoval, Scott Disick, and Ximena Navarrete.
