'Los Voladores de Papantla' or 'Papantla Flyers' is a very old rite performed in Jalisco, Colima and Nayarit zones in the times of the Mesoamerica period and very popular nowadays in Papantla, Veracruz, where Totonacas saved a tradition Spain missionaries forbid in America back in the times of the colonization.

The ceremony is intented to ask for rain after a long period of drought.
