The iPhone 7 rumors are starting out 2016 with a bang with the new speculations tied up with the next Apple flagship that is still months away from being a reality.

For those who have been following our iPhone 7-related posts, you may have already heard (per the rumor mill) that the upcoming iPhone variant will be improve waterproofing and that it will no longer have the usual antenna stripes.

Prior to that, we also heard about the iPhone 7 possibly doing away with the 3.5 mm jack and instead feature a lightning or USB Type-C port.

Other than that, there were some rumors which touched on the camera it will come with. Word has it that the iPhone 7 could be coming out with a dual-camera setup that could include an optical zoom which will hopefully improve the 12 MP resolution present phones have.

The next iteration is likely to carry on the 3D Touch features that the iPhone 6s currently has and possibly wireless charging as well.

Now that list may have just been appended with two features that could be welcome news for people looking at a longer-lasting and larger storage spaced device per 9 to 5 Mac.

It seems that the iPhone 7 could be sporting a 256 GB storage for folks on the prowl for larger space to pack their large media and other files. This means more storage for people who may have been resorting to deletion or transferring of files from their phone to their Mac, notebook or PC.

Other than that, MyDrivers adds that the iPhone 7 could be offering larger and reliable 3,100 mAh battery which could hint at a possible larger iPhone coming out since smaller batteries were used on the previous iPhone models.

Though the site seems to be a bit dubious, the two features are interesting and something that can be beneficial to iPhone loyalists.

The battery of current iPhones is something users have not been too fond off though it may depend on how they are using their device/s.

The larger battery does not necessarily mean of course of extended life, with maybe just about 10 percent increase in power. Power consumption will evidently fall in the internal bits of the device and again, the purpose of use.

The bump in storage is also something that could work to the advantage of users, particularly since 16GB storage has proven to be not enough to accommodate large files. If so, does this mean that the basic model will start at 64GB and then 128GB before landing to the 256GB?

If so, expect a big jack in the prices as well.
