This is one more evidence why dogs are indeed man's best friends.

A Golden Labrador appeared to teach a baby a thing or two about sliding in the snow, as a viral clip showed recently.

The 16-second footage, uploaded on YouTube a day after Christmas, first showed a toddler tottering her way towards a rubber tube while her parents watch on. That short moment was already adorable by itself but was unexpectedly amplified by the family's furry pal.

"Suddenly, the world's most extreme dog comes sliding by, carving up that fresh powder with its stomach in a totally normal and not-at-all-weird way," Mashable noted, calling the canine a "master of the slopes."

The funny creature could be seen scooting along on the snow on its belly, with its front legs firmly positioned forward in front of it and its hind legs splayed behind, as if mimicking a sled. The dog used its front paws to propel itself forward through the snow, earning giggles and laughs from onlookers as it went on its way until it was past the camera's view, unruffled by the attention.

The dog's peculiarly calm and self-assured disposition during its snow slide stunt added to the video's appeal. Master of the slopes, indeed!

This isn't the first time a dog was recorded sliding through snow, of course. A clip of a black Labrador doing a similar thing went viral in November 2014.

Rafi the dog appeared to enjoy sliding through the snow on his back as he kept running up the hill to repeat the experience, to his owners' delight.

"Rafi's owners cannot contain themselves as they watch their dog slide down the hill and then run back up to do it again," The Telegraph noted.

"Calls of, 'do it again Raf' are heard throughout the video - and why not - it's hilarious," it added.

Being an obedient dog, Raf repeated his stunt, earning even more laughter and even funnier footage of himself sliding through the snowy surface in awkward positions.

Raf's style was obviously different from that of the Golden Lab in the recent clip, as the black dog found it more comfortable sliding on snow while lying down on one side of his body and using his hind legs to propel himself forward. He also had to undulate his body in order to achieve the stunt.

Considering all those adjustments, it appeared Raf had to exert more effort just to accomplish the slide, while the other dog apparently was more efficient at it.

Master of slopes, indeed!
